Charles Cannon & Aunt Francis.  Charles is the son of Amelia White-Cannon & Charles Cannon Sr.  He lived in Alexandria,
Charles Cannon & Aunt Francis. Charles is the son of Amelia White-Cannon & Charles Cannon Sr. He lived in Alexandria, Louisiana in the same neighborhood as his sister, Louella, and his niece, Lucille.

was the very beautiful wife 
of Leroy Cannon Sr.
She was also the mother of 
Leroy Jr., Charles, Elton, Frederick, 
Melvin, Vernon, Anna Roy, JoAnn, 
& Gloria Marie Cannon.  
This beloved and devoted mother
was highly cherished 
among relatives and friends.  
We honor her memory today & always.

This baby & the baby in the next picture were born on the same day, in the same hospital, to mothers who were first cousins.  Both babies are boys.  Baby-1 is being held by his mother.  Baby-2 is being held by his sister.  Do you know the names of the babies and their mothers?

LEE ETHEL CANNON-HICKS
LEE ETHEL CANNON-HICKS

Lee Ethel was the younger daughter of Charles Cannon Sr. & Amelia White Cannon.  She was the mother of Lucille Hicks & James Hicks (aka Buh-Buh).  Lee Ethel died at age 22 from complications resulting from an accidental gunshot wound.  Lucille & James both gave their first born daughters their mother's name.  Lee Ethel Burns (daughter of Lucille) lives in Alexandria, Louisiana.  
Lee Ethel Elliott (daughter of James) lives in Beaumont, Texas.
